Write a brief
Three short steps: who the video is for, what it should say, and which images it can show.
- Who can do this
- OwnersAdminsEditors
- Reading time
- 1 min read
The brief is the only place facts come from. Yacooti writes the script from it, and checks the script against it, so a price, number, contact detail or quote that isn't in the brief can't end up in the video unnoticed.
Step 1: Client and style
-
1
Pick the client and brand kit
Brand kits show as swatches in their colours. No kit yet? An owner or admin creates one from the client's page.
-
2
Choose the length
20, 30, 45, 60 or 90 seconds (your plan may cap it). Each length shows how many scenes it makes.
-
3
Optional: music mood and narrator
Leave the music empty to use the brand kit's. The narrator starts on the kit's voice; press play to hear the others.
Step 2: The message
-
1
Business, product and audience
Be specific: "Kilele Coffee, a small roaster in Nyeri", "Nyeri AA beans, 250g bags", "office managers in Nairobi".
-
2
Tone
Pick a suggestion or write your own, such as "warm and confident".
-
3
Add what the script may use
Open Offer, Where to find them (website, phone, WhatsApp), Facts and numbers (one per line) and up to three Testimonials only when you have them.
Write testimonials word for word with the person's name. A quote too long to show is left out rather than shortened, because a shortened quote is no longer their words.
Step 3: Images
-
1
Pick or upload up to 8 images
From the client's library, or drop new ones in. Describe each so it lands in the right scene.

Press Write the script
Yacooti writes it in about a minute. You can watch it appear in the studio.
Still stuck?
A person at Yacooti reads every message and replies by email. Name your workspace, and the video if it's about one.
